Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E is available with a 42 kWh battery pack while the HTX E [ER] is sold with a large 51.4 kWh battery unit
Kia India has strengthened its Carens Clavis EV portfolio just in time for the festive season with the introduction of two new trims – the HTX E and HTX E [ER]. Priced at Rs. 19.99 lakh and Rs. 21.99 lakh respectively, these help expand the range of the electric midsize vehicle which has been well received by consumers since its market debut a few months ago.
The HTX E variant comes with a 42 kWh battery pack while the HTX E [ER] boasts a larger 51.4 kWh pack – offering ranges of 404 km and 490 km respectively. Both trims sit between the existing HTK+ and HTX models and bring a host of new feature additions including a panoramic sunroof and LED lamps across all three rows.
Other highlights are window auto up/down on every window, a wireless charger, and a dual-tone steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment. On the inside, Kia has added leatherette seats, an air purifier with virus protection, a multi-colour ambient lighting setup with footwell illumination, a seat-back folding table and solar glass.

The EV also packs modern technologies like a 26.6-inch dual panoramic display (one for touchscreen infotainment system and the other act as a driver’s display), 90 connected car functions and a suite of Level 2 ADAS features. It is worth noting that the 99 kW and 126 kW electric motors deliver 255 Nm of torque each.
Both trims support fast charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 39 minutes. As for safety, Kia has brought in six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist and 18 other advanced features. Kia is backing the Carens Clavis EV with an EV ecosystem offering over 11,000 charging points through the K-Charge platform on the MyKia app, live charger availability, route planning and more than 250 EV-ready workshops across India.

Initiatives like Kia Drive Green allow owners to track CO₂ savings and contribute to digital tree planting. With these additions, the Carens Clavis EV lineup now spans six trims: HTK+, HTX E, HTX, HTX E [ER], HTX [ER] and HTX+ [ER].
