Hero Splendor continued to reign supreme ahead of Honda Shine, Bajaj Pulsar, Hero HF Deluxe and TVS Apache in July 2025 sales table
Hero MotoCorp continued to dominate the Indian two-wheeler market in July 2025 with the Splendor at the top of the charts. The commuter workhorse recorded 2,46,715 units, up 11.73 per cent from July 2024, proving once again why it remains the backbone of India’s motorcycle sales. Its affordability, fuel economy and wide dealer network has helped it retain the number one spot for years.
In second place, the Honda Shine managed 1,59,658 units, though sales dipped slightly by 2.29 per cent year-on-year. Despite the small decline, the Shine remains a strong choice in the entry-level segment – appealing to riders looking for refinement and reliability. Honda will be hoping to turn this minor slide around in the coming months with likely discounts during this festive season.
Bajaj’s Pulsar series finished in the third position with a domestic tally of 79,817 units. It marks a significant 16.67 per cent decline compared to last year’s 95,789 units. While the Pulsar name still carries weight, competition has certainly intensified in the 125 cc to 200 cc category in recent times in India.

The surprise performer of July was the Hero HF Deluxe which posted a stunning 53.30 per cent growth. Sales rose to 71,477 units courtesy of a jump of nearly 25,000 units over last year. TVS Motor Company made its mark with the Apache range which grew 22.44 per cent to 37,566 units. The Apache continues to appeal to younger buyers who want performance and sharp styling in the 160-300 cc bracket. TVS also found steady support for the Raider – though it slipped marginally by 0.15 per cent selling 24,511 units.
The Raider still remains one of the strongest contenders in the 125 cc commuter space. Royal Enfield enjoyed strong growth in July with both the Classic 350 and Hunter 350 making it into the top 10. The Classic 350 climbed 24.06 per cent to 26,516 units while the Hunter 350 jumped an impressive 30.39 per cent to 18,373 units.

The arrival of the updated version has certainly helped in upping its volume numbers. Meanwhile, Honda’s Unicorn and Bajaj’s Platina also posted modest gains of 14.54 and 1.72 per cent respectively, showing steady demand for proven commuter models. The top 10 motorcycles together accounted for 7,24,629 units in July 2025 – up 7.68 per cent from 6,72,947 units a year ago.
The total figures indicate a healthy demand revival across segments with commuter motorcycles driving the bulk of volumes. Hero, Honda, Bajaj, TVS and Royal Enfield all had winners in their lineups but the spotlight belonged to the Splendor and HF Deluxe – reaffirming that the Indian market still thrives on dependable and VFM machines.
