Honda posted a domestic total of 4,66,331 units in July 2025 as against 4,39,118 units with a YoY growth of 6.2 per cent
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India ended the month of July 2025 with total domestic sales of 4,66,331 units – a 6.2 per cent increase over the 4,39,118 units sold during the same month last year. The impressive performance was led once again by the Activa and was complemented by its entry-level commuter lineup.
The Honda Activa alone contributed 2,37,413 units – translating to a 21.37 per cent jump compared to last July. The Shine 125 and SP125 together brought in 1,38,665 units but their volumes were slightly lower than last year – showing a drop of 1.37 per cent. The Unicorn maintained steady demand with 30,572 units – marking a 14.54 per cent rise year-on-year.
In contrast, the Dio slipped to 27,951 units, a decline of over 16 per cent while the Shine 100 also fell by nearly 8 per cent to 20,993 units. The Livo remained flat at 3,664 units. A major highlight for Honda came from the CB350 which more than doubled its numbers to 2,072 units – recording a growth of 104.95 per cent.

The SP160, however, had a rough month with sales halved at 2,234 units – down by almost 59 per cent. The H’ness 350 and Hornet 2.0 also posted declines with the Hornet seeing a decline of nearly 39 per cent. On the premium side, the XL750 recorded a 22.22 per cent gain while the GL1800 Gold Wing also inched ahead with a 33.33 per cent rise – albeit in very small volumes.
Honda’s dispatches of the QC1 electric scooter and its sibling, the Activa e, did not yield much either. Meanwhile, the Dream and CB300 were not in contention with zero sales this July against 6,550 and 145 units respectively in the same month last year. The overall sales chart reaffirms Honda’s dependence on the Activa as its mainstay consistently.

The CB350’s sharp growth gave the company a decent footing in the midsize motorcycle category. At the same time, falling numbers for scooters like the Dio and commuter bikes like the SP160 indicate the gaps Honda still needs to address across its range. Recently, the brand introduced new motorcycles such as the CB 125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX.
Earlier this month, Honda also announced the launch of the 25-year Anniversary Editions of three of its popular models – the Activa 110, Activa 125 and SP125.
