Suzuki has managed to retain its identity with a new logo while making changes in line with a modern redesign; will come into use on production models soon
For more than two decades Suzuki’s badge has remained untouched but that changes now. The Japanese manufacturer has revealed a redesigned emblem that will be shown to the public at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The new badge won’t stay confined to concept displays for long – it is set to roll out across Suzuki and Maruti Suzuki vehicles worldwide in the years ahead.
The central element of the logo, the trademark “S” hasn’t been tampered with. Suzuki knows that its identity is instantly recognised by this symbol whether on the grille of an Alto in India or on an outboard motor in Europe. What has changed is the treatment – the old chrome-heavy and three-dimensional look has been swapped for a flat and sharper design finished in bright silver paint.
The change carries practical reasoning. Silver paint is less taxing on the environment compared to conventional chrome which involves more complex and polluting processes. At the same time, the flatter graphic works better on digital platforms where brands increasingly live today from smartphone apps to infotainment screens.

The badge, in effect, has been designed to be equally at home on a touchscreen as it is on a bonnet. Suzuki has paired this update with a fresh corporate slogan: “By Your Side.” The company frames the new look as more than just a cosmetic exercise – calling it an extension of its long-held belief in staying close to its customers.
The slimmed-down logo is meant to embody both continuity and change – acknowledging Suzuki’s past while indicating where the brand wants to head next. Maruti Suzuki is expected to be among the first subsidiaries to wear the new emblem on production models. Unlike many carmakers who have completely abandoned older motifs in the pursuit of minimalism, Suzuki has struck a careful balance.

Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki, said: “The new emblem embodies Suzuki’s long-held commitment to create valuable products by focusing on the customer as well as our determination to take on new challenges for the future.”
