GaadiWaadi –

Mahindra posted 56,233 units with a 10 per cent year-on-year improvement in September 2025 as it finished third in the overall standings

Mahindra & Mahindra ended last month with healthy growth – posting total domestic dispatches of 56,233 units with a 10 per cent year-on-year improvement over the 51,062 units sold in the same period last year and a 43 per cent rise compared to August 2025. The Scorpio range once again proved to be Mahindra’s mainstay.

The combined volumes of Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic stood at 18,372 units – a 27 per cent jump over last year. More importantly, the month-on-month numbers nearly doubled highlighting its increasing popularity. The Thar followed in the second position with 11,846 units – growing 34 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

The lifestyle SUV continues to dominate its niche with high demand for both petrol and diesel variants. The five-door Thar Roxx has expanded its reach bringing in more practical buyers who want rugged appeal with added everyday usability. Only recently, Mahindra updated the three-door Thar with addition of new features and minor cosmetic revisions.

Among Mahindra’s more premium offerings, the XUV 700 held firm at 9,764 units – showing a marginal YoY growth but nearly doubling over August. With waiting periods easing and steady demand, the SUV’s consistent run shows Mahindra’s good reception in the Rs. 15–25 lakh segment. The XUV 3X0, formerly XUV 300, contributed 9,032 units with a stable year-on-year and 64 per cent higher than August.

Not all numbers were as upbeat. The Bolero slipped sharply by 66 per cent to 2,747 units. However, the arrival of the updated Bolero and Bolero Neo will certainly aid in pumping up the sales figures in the remaining months of this year. Similarly, the Marazzo continues to fade – recording just three units for the month.

On the electric front, early signs are promising. The BE 6 and XEV9e together accounted for 4,320 units. The XEV9e posted 2,619 units while the BE 6 added 1,701 with both models seeing steady month-on-month improvement. With multiple powertrain choices and an expanding EV lineup, Mahindra looks set to carry this momentum through the festive season and into 2026.
