The new 2025 Renault Kwid E-Tech (Renault Kwid EV) has finally made its Brazilian debut through official images. It’s essentially the rebadged Dacia Spring EV, which competes with the Citroen eC3 and other small electric cars in global markets. The updated Kwid EV receives significant design and feature upgrades while retaining the previous electric powertrain.
2025 Renault Kwid EV – Improved Styling
Starting with the design, the new Kwid EV features a completely revised front facia along with a more angular stance. It carries a closed-off rectangular grille with vertical slats, new projector headlamps, revised bumpers and more prominent creases on the bonnet. It also gets new Y-shaped LED taillamps.
Design elements such as 14-inch dual-tone ally wheels, black wheel arch cladding, wing mirror mounted indicators, body-side moulding on the doors and reverse lamps are carried over from the previous generation.
2025 Renault Kwid EV – Updated Interior
The interior looks refreshing with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with new graphics, two USB-C ports and height adjustable steering wheel inspired by the new Duster.

2025 Renault Kwid EV – Safety Features
The standard safety kit now includes six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS, electronic stability program, Isofix mounts, rear camera, hill start assist and seatbelt reminders. Interestingly, the new Renault Kwid EV will also be offered with ADAS (autonomous driving assistance system) in select markets. The ADAS suite will consist of lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking system, fatigue warning, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control and more.
2025 Renault Kwid EV – Same Powertrian & Range
Mechanically, the updated Kwid EV remains unchanged. The small EV continues to feature a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack, paired with an electric motor generating power worth 65bhp. This setup delivers a claimed range of up to 250km per charge. The battery pack takes 45 minutes to charge from 20 to 80 percent through a DC fast charger.
Is Kwid EV Coming to India?
Renault India has confirmed three new models including the next-generation Duster, Boreal (7-seater Duster) and an A-segment EV. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed name and details of its upcoming small electric car, it’s expected to be the Renault Kwid EV. If launched, the electric hatchback will take on the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
