Toyota is planning to showcase multiple vehicles across different segments at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show
Toyota is giving the Corolla a comprehensive makeover, previewed by a concept set to be unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show – scheduled between October 31 and November 9, 2025. At its home motoring show, the company is planning to showcase multiple vehicles across different segments. The Corolla concept, in particular, merges sharp lines and edgy proportions with signs of electrified powertrain options.
Up front, the Corolla concept abandons the familiar face of the existing global generation in favour of a “hammerhead shark” inspired layout. A full-width LED light bar stretches across the nose section while angular DRLs perch above vertical headlamps. The traditional oversized grille has been opted out in place of a new lower air inlet.
The side profile shows sculpted panels and a downward sloping window line – accentuated by subtle creases beneath the side mirrors. At the rear, Toyota has added a ducktail-style spoiler and a pixel LED strip with defined shoulder lines and a sporty bumper. Powertrain choices have not been made official but either a plug-in hybrid or full-electric system could be employed.

Despite its futuristic appeal, the concept retains practical elements suggesting it is almost production ready. You could readily see traditional side mirrors, conventional door handles and realistic proportions. The front and rear lighting elements along with the sculpted panels appear designed to transition smoothly into the 13th generation Corolla.
Alongside the Corolla, Toyota will also showcase other jaw-dropping concepts at the Mobility Show including a six-wheeled Lexus LS and a high-riding Century featuring unconventional doors and a central driver seat. Yet, the Corolla concept carries the most commercial weight as it hints at the direction of Toyota’s next-generation sedan in many key markets.
