Toyota recorded a total tally of 31,091 units in September 2025 leading to a volume increase of 16 per cent compared to the same month last year
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) wrapped up last month with a good sales performance – recording a total tally of 31,091 units – up 16 per cent compared to the same month last year. Domestic sales accounted for the lion’s share at 27,089 units while exports contributed 4,002 units indicating the growing demand for locally made cars in the international markets.
The Japanese auto major’s first-half performance for FY26 has also been encouraging – buoyed by the increasing acceptance for the volume-based badge engineered products. Between April and September 2025, TKM sold 1,84,959 vehicles leading to a 14 per cent increase over the 1,62,623 units dispatched during the same period in the previous fiscal.
The main catalyst behind the impressive sales numbers has been the favourable market conditions following the implementation of GST 2.0 reforms which resulted in steep price drops. By passing on the full benefits to customers, TKM effectively lowered prices across its range – giving buyers an added incentive to make a purchase during the early festive season.
