New Skoda Octavia RS features a 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine making 265 PS and 370 Nm; gets a host of mechanical revisions as well
Recently, Skoda Auto announced that the new Octavia RS will launch on 17 October and its pre-bookings have opened since yesterday through the brand’s official online portal for a token amount of Rs. 2.50 lakh. Showcased earlier this year at the BMGE 2025, the new Octavia RS will indeed arrive in India as a fully loaded variant.
The RS will be imported as a CBU with Skoda limiting the domestic allocation to just 100 units. Deliveries are slated to begin from 6 November. It has been made available in Mamba Green, Magic Black, Race Blue, Candy White and Velvet Red colour schemes. The all-new Skoda Octavia first appeared on the global stage in early 2024 – featuring a series of design updates.
Compared to the regular model, the performance-focussed Skoda Octavia RS comes with a host of sportier touches inside and out. The upgrades include sharper bumpers with triangular air intakes, twin exhaust outlets, supportive bucket seats and contrasting red stitching, a set of 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels and more.

It’s worth noting that the new Skoda Octavia RS for India is derived from the UK-spec model which means it will miss out on certain features like Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and panoramic sunroof. The performance sedan will be imported directly from Skoda’s manufacturing hub in the Czech Republic.
The Skoda Octavia RS comes equipped with a sporty three-spoke steering wheel bearing RS branding, aluminium pedals and carbon-style interior accents. Powering this performance sedan is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque – making it the most potent production Octavia ever offered.

The gasoline mill is paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox – channeling power exclusively to the front wheels. Complementing the drivetrain are several mechanical enhancements including a sport-tuned suspension that lowers ride height by 15 mm, a specially tuned exhaust note and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential for sharper handling.
The equipment list comprises ten airbags, adaptive cruise control, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, three-zone climate control, front seats with cooling, heating, massage and memory functions, 360-degree camera, Canton audio, etc.
